Monsignor Giuseppe Anfossi, con quest'ultima opera, ci parla in maniera magistrale e allo stesso tempo in modo semplice e agevole delle vocazioni adulte, ovvero di quelle persone che hanno già percorso un tratto di vita ricco e intenso e che scoprono, in età adulta, la chiamata a seguire il Signore.

Nota Breve Autore
Giuseppe Anfossi, Vescovo emerito di Aosta, nasce a Marebbe il 7 marzo 1935. Dal 1975, per nove anni, è rettore del Seminario Regionale Piemontese delle vocazioni adulte.  Il 30 dicembre 1994 Papa Giovanni Paolo II lo nomina vescovo di Aosta.  Monsignor Anfossi ebbe il privilegio di accogliere per sei volte Papa Giovanni Paolo II nei suoi soggiorni estivi e tre volte Papa Benedetto XVI. 

Già Presidente della Commissione episcopale per la famiglia e la vita della CEI fino a quando il 9 novembre 2011 Papa Benedetto XVI accoglie la sua rinuncia, presentata per raggiunti limiti di età. Attualmente vive a Torino dove offre sostegno alla Pastorale della famiglia.

Adult Vocations, memories of an innovative seminar, an experience worth passing down today.

In this work, Monsignor Giuseppe Anfossi masterfully and yet simply tells us about adult vocations (i.e. those people who have already travelled a rich and intense stretch of life and who discover the call to follow the Lord in their adulthood).

Then, the Bishop Emeritus of Aosta reviews the memories of the years when the Piedmont Regional Seminary for Adult Vocations was established.
Referring to life experiences, he encourages the reader to reflect on the importance of adult vocations, a human and spiritual path still relevant today and worth transmitting to the new generations.

About the Author:

Giuseppe Anfossi, the Bishop Emeritus of Aosta, was born in Marebbe on 7 March 1935. Starting in 1975, for nine years, he was rector of the Piedmont Regional Seminary for adult vocations. On December 30th, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him as Bishop of Aosta.
Monsignor Anfossi had the privilege of hosting Pope John Paul II for six times during his summer stays and Pope Benedict XVI for three times.
Former President of the Episcopal Commission for Family and Life of the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) until November 9th, 2011, when Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation, submitted for reaching the age limit. He currently resides in Turin where he provides support for the Pastoral Care of the Family.
